Providing safe and reliable structures at a reasonable price is the basis upon which Event Structures was founded. Our commitment to working safely is the most important thread that runs through all our work.

We have a major commitment to making sure that our policies not only comply with all regulations and meet or exceed all relevant guidelines, but that they are designed so that they are easily achievable in a real world situation. All our staff are trained and aware of hazards involved in the work they carry out. Staff are consulted regularly to make sure our policies are realistic and achivable.

It is well known that the main cause of failure in unsuitable outdoor structures is due to bad design. The complex forces that are put onto a structure outdoors by the weather can easily be underestimated and this is why all of our current and new designs are developed with engineers from the manufacturers of the structural parts being used; then the final designs are subject to an independent Static Report which is always carried out by qualified and respected structural engineer with experience working in the entertainment industry.

All designs along with a static report have a build manual developed which again is written with consultation from the manufactures engineers and the structural engineers to ensure that all structures are not only safe once built but also that the build procedure is as safe as possible.

For any job we carry out a safety assessment and compile a Health and Safety pack. This is delivered in stages to provide complete transparency in our policies, structure design, procedures and assessments. These packs contain:

  • Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Insurance documents.
  • Static reports for all structures being built including system drawings.
  • Method statements for generic work (working at height, use of electrics etc.) and work specific to the structures being built.
  • Risk assessment, carried out specifically for the job which is then reviewed on site.
  • Job sheet, which gives all information regarding the job (sent to our supervisor and the client to ensure all parties have the same information and relevant contacts).
  • Site plan with marked structures including setting out points.

These documents are made available to the client from our website as they are completed leading up to the event and are then submitted in paper form no less than two weeks prior to arrival on-site. This procedure allows the client time to contest any information in this pack before delivery of our services.

If you wish to talk about any of the guidelines and regulations surrounding the design and use of temporary structures please contact us even if your inquiry is not related to a hire we are happy provide advice and point you in the direction of relevant publications; the more knowledge is out there, the safer all events will become. Make sure you know what your responsibilities are!
